Jean Claude Saquet
Canadian Operations
Jean Claude (JC) Saquet is a cornerstone of FarmTech, leading the charge in bringing precision agriculture solutions to farmers across Canada. With a B.Sc. in Agriculture - Agronomy from the University of Manitoba and a specialization in G.I.S. and Satellite Imagery from the University of Chapingo, JC combines advanced technical expertise with a deep understanding of modern farming challenges. He specializes in precision farming equipment, crop optimization, and land forming for water management, helping farmers achieve maximum efficiency and profitability.
An adventurer at heart, JC is an avid backcountry skier, showcasing the same determination and discipline he brings to his work. Known for his approachable personality and customer-first philosophy, JC builds lasting relationships with farmers, equipping them with the tools and insights to thrive in today’s evolving agricultural landscape.
Doug Weist
US Operations
Doug is a fourth-generation farmer from Choteau, Montana, and the visionary leader behind FarmTech. With a degree in plant molecular biology and a passion for innovation, Doug has spent decades improving agricultural practices with cutting-edge technology. He founded FarmTech to bridge the gap between traditional farming knowledge and modern precision ag solutions.
Doug’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including variable-rate technology, spatial mapping, and advanced equipment like Topcon, DJI, and Carbon Bee. His commitment to maximizing farm profitability and sustainability drives the company’s success. Outside of FarmTech, Doug is an avid skier, traveler, and industrial hemp producer, continually looking for ways to push the boundaries of agriculture.
Cindi Weist
Operations Manager & Media Specialist
Originally from Germany, Cindi is a master of her craft in photography and design, with university degrees in photography and over three decades of professional experience. Her expertise brings FarmTech’s mission to life through stunning visual media, capturing customer success stories with precision and artistry. In addition to her creative talents, Cindi ensures smooth operations as the company’s Bookkeeper and Operations Manager. While her earlier career includes over two decades as a nurse, her true passion lies in storytelling through photography and design. Outside of work, Cindi enjoys endurance riding in the Mountain West and is known for her exceptional sourdough bread. Married to FarmTech’s founder, Doug, Cindi is an integral part of the team.
David Cimbalista
Lead Programmer
David is the youngest member of the FarmTech team, bringing fresh energy and technical expertise to the company. Raised in Detroit, he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Lewis University in Illinois. With no prior farming experience, David quickly developed FarmIQ, showcasing his ability to adapt and excel in new challenges.
A talented programmer, David consistently pushes boundaries to create innovative solutions that bridge technology and agriculture. Outside of work, he is an avid chess enthusiast and is quietly approaching professional-level play. His unique skills and dedication make him an invaluable part of the FarmTech team.
